WWF Furniture Collection Made of Sustainable Natural Rattans
WWF has established a special program aimed at creating environmentally friendly production for the preparation and processing of timber in the rattan area of the Mekong River.
Rattans is hauling plants of Palmae, some varieties of which reach one hundred meters in length.
For popularization of project Lund University (Sweden) graduates together with local producers placed a series of design work on the basis of traditional processing techniques rattan material and the use of modern principles of aesthetics and plastic.
The collection of sustainable furniture from natural rattans includes a number of design-project of seats, lamps, basket, but also stand for cooler water to drink which is exhibited during this year’s Ambiente Fair in Frankfurt.-dailytonic-
