Sol Duc Cabin by Olson Kundig Architects
We must protect this fully coated steel and perched in the middle of the wilderness to Olson Kundig Architects. In a highly unusual style, this fisherman’s hut dubbed “Sol Duc Cabin” used as a small dwelling remains no less magnificent. Located in Olympic Peninsula, Washington, USA, it was designed from outside the site to avoid pollution and disturbance of the site preserved.
The roof protects from the sun as rain or wind, each component can be opened or closed by a sliding along the windows. It houses a dining room, kitchen and bathroom on the first floor and a bedroom above. A small terrace for enjoying the natural environment and a superb view of the river. Little paradise for a weekend in the countryside.
