It is very hard to design an apartment with an area of 220 square meters. And the A1Architects firm has completed their latest project to convert old attic of an apartment in a two-story residence.
It was a new challenge for the Czech-based Architects to deal with almost “unlimited” space to live according to their previous experience focused primarily on small scale.
Located in Prague, a stainless steel mesh, takes the place of a railing around the stairway and hallway on the first floor of this apartment.
Illuminated wooden shelves are arranged like a brick wall behind a staircase rising from the living room, while two steps below void provide additional storage space.
Walls and ceilings in this room and elsewhere in the apartment have rounded edges. The apartment also has a kitchen marble and granite, gray plaster walls and columns of features exposed wood.
By the way, the furniture in the apartment stands out, also, very, well, the whole picture is quite unusual and intriguing.
