At the London Design Festival in September 2011, British designer Lee Broom has received an award for his fifth collection . His dramatic collection of furniture called ‘Salon‘. It reflects a curvy lines of the 1930s. The new collection is soft silhouettes, subtly hinting at a fashion fetish. At the same time studding is traditionally used in the upholstery to hide the production process.
A collection of ‘Salon’ includes an armchair, dining table, sofa, footstool and pillows. All this is available in a sophisticated palette of beige, gray, black and white flowers. There are several materials to choose from: wool, velvet and leather. Lee Broom said he wanted to create a collection, which stresses the importance of tailoring to create beautiful furniture.
