ICFF Show 2011 Preview: Butterfly Chair by Laurie Beckerman

Butterfly is a new chair designed by American architect and designer Laurie Beckerman which is inspired by the “ethereal beauty of Lucite”.

For the sheer form of a butterfly, an 3/4″ thick clear acrylic is used by the designer with simplicity and harmony of proportion.

The wings of the chair organically grow out of the circular seat, giving the appearance of a chair about to take flight.

Recalled that this Butterfly Chair by Laurie Beckerman can be seen at the 23rd annual International Contemporary Furniture Fair – ICFF show 2011 at the Javits center in New York.
