Designed by Van der Merwe Miszewski Architects, the Mountain House has an exterior design original and captivating. The residence consists of five pavilions are tucked into the sloping terrain, surrounded by natural fynbos exists, which extends from the hillside above the site of the road below.
The five rooms to mimic the terrain and lies as the leaves that have fallen in the mountains. The rooms are in harmony with the surrounding context in order to achieve the least possible visual impact on the existing natural landscape.
Living spaces have been created with the ancient tradition of the insertion of stone walls in the landscape, creating terraces and platform. The colors of these walls of stone emulates the cliffs of Table Mountain above their anchors and the presence of design in the landscape.
